2023 Chester Regatta Writing Competition for Schoolchildren in Chester!

Open to all Year 7 - Year 11 schoolchildren in Chester
To enter, write between 100 to 250 words relating to Chester Regatta in some way. Perhaps about its long history, or its future, or about your experience of it, or how you hope to be involved in the future. After reading the Writing Competition Rules, send your entry by email HERE
Your entry must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 31 May 2023.
Winners will be notified by email by 7pm on Friday 2 June 2023.
Winners must be available at the Meadows Ferry landing stage from 1:30pm - 3:30 pm on Saturday 10 June 2023 and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Maximum of 1 winner per school
Maximum of 6 winners
Car parking available at Queens Park High School CH4 7AE only £3 all day and less than 15 minutes easy walk to the Meadows Ferry landing stage.
There is NO AVAILABLE PARKING at Sandy Lane or Walmoor Park.
You are welcome to picnic on the Meadows. Please take all your rubbish home.
Where picnics include alcohol, be aware that the Meadows fall under a public space protection order (PSPO) and if the police feel antisocial behaviour is occurring they can remove any alcohol.
