FREE EVENT FOR SPECTATORS

Chester Regatta provides a lovely day out for everyone in the family & well behaved dogs are welcome too. There is no admission cost for spectators. Our regatta predates Henley Regatta by over 100 years and is older than the Oxford / Cambridge Boat Race too.

Come along on Saturday 7th June & Sunday 8th June 2025 (8am - 6pm) to cheer and support the many fabulous rowing clubs from across the country as race side by side down a 700m (Saturday & Sunday) and 350m (Upstream Sunday) stretch of the River Dee. Races take place  between the Red House past our hosts Chester Sailing Club, past Sandy Lane Park and
 the Earls Eye.

Great viewing from along the Meadows and you're welcome to visit our Regatta ground at Sandy Lane Park / Sailing Club to grab a drink and bite to eat and marvel at our wonderful historical trophies :
The free ferry will be running between our Regatta site and the Meadows so make sure to bring some money / payment card and come and enjoy the lovely food and drink on sale at the Regatta Ground.
